Protecting personal information is not only a social responsibility The Refined Group should fulfill in all the countries that we operate in, but also an important duty as a responsible executive search company. As such, we have stated the privacy policy below and will strive to ensure your personal information remains strictly protected and properly managed.
Types of personal information The Refined Group needs and collects
Personal information that we are required to collect is usually related to the following:
- Personal information gathered from your resume, your personal goals and career objectives, and the information you provide our consultants
- Performance of work related goals and objectives
- Contact information such as mobile phone, email and personal address
- Personal information of people who have registered to attend, or who have attended our events
How do we make sure your information is up to date, accurate and secure?
Generally we will contact you if we have not recently been communicating with you directly. This means that we will usually call or email you to get an update of your personal information and current situation. We adhere to the Act on the Protection of Personal Information in Japan.
We hold sensitive information via a secure gateway that ensures your information remains private and confidential, and is designed to prevent information leakage, loss, damage and falsification in line with article 20 of the privacy act. Your personal information is restricted in who can access, modify and with whom it can be shared. Our storage partners are one of the worlds leading suppliers of data management, and we use modern security systems to test and maintain the integrity our information.
The purpose of collecting personal information
We know that you do not want your resume spammed across the Internet, or made public to people who should not know you are interested in new opportunities. The Refined Group will only use your personal information for the following purposes.
- Executive placement and recruiting services that are aimed at helping personnel who are interested in finding new career opportunities
- Executive management and consulting services such as salary surveys and statistical data
- Contacting you with regard to our networking or guest speaker events
What to do when you want to contact us about your personal information?
If you are not sure about our privacy policy or how we store and manage your information, we are obliged to do the following when you request it, in accordance with Japanese law and the Act on the Protection of Personal Information in Japan.
- 1. Inform you (the owner) of the information that we have collected
- 2. When you (the owner) request that we change or format the information
- 3. When you (the owner) request that we disuse, or remove your information
